Recently a dear friend of mine lost her best friend/husband of over 30 years. So I have been trying to figure out an appropriate card for her. Here is what I came up with.
I am also submitting this card for two different Challenges. First is Color My Heart's color dare #80 in which we are to use Ruby, Sunset and Cotton Candy as our colors. I have used these colors not only by making the background paper for the two panels but also as mats.
The second Challenge is for Nacho Average Challenge sketch #75 (see image below).
I layered the panels that I created onto a textured card base and then layered the sentiment panel on top of that, all with 3D foam tape. The sentiment was purchased at Hobby Lobby and is an American Art Stamp by Lizzie Anne Designs. I think it is perfect for this purpose. I created the background paper using the Thinking Of You stamp set that came in Simon Says Stamps' February stamp kit. All ink and cardstock is from Close To My Heart. The Framelit is from Stampin' Up.
I feel like a card is never complete unless I also tie the inside to the front, so here it is!
I thank you for visiting my blog. I do this simply to share my love of paper crafting.
I look forward to reading your comments and thank you in advance for taking time out of your busy day to leave one.
Thank you and Happy Paper Crafting!
