A New Discovery...My Besties!

Recently I came upon a called Grandma Bonnie's Place and I fell in love with the My Besties from Sherri Baldy's Etsy Shop!  Wow, these Besties are so stinkin' cute and are available both as traditional stamps or digital, I went for the digital version!  So what I decided to do is take one of my stock Birthday Cards and bump it up a knotch with one of Sherri's Besties.

So I removed the sentiment which had been mounted with dimensional tape and repositioned it.  I then changed out the deep pink flower with two yellow and one light pink on the lower tab.  Lastly, but most definitely not least, I added this adorable Bestie named Ginger.
I colored Ginger with Copics after allowing the ink from my printer to dry.  I think I need to practice a bit more, especially on the hair, but all in all, I am very satisfied with this girl.

I would love to hear from you. Tell me what you think.
Have a wonderful 4th of July!

Thank You Card To Bring In Summertime!

I have been working with my stash of patterned papers and believe me when I tell you that I have a ton! Can you relate? I am on a mission to use up some of this paper before I spend another dime on more...wish me luck!

I created a 5" x 7" card base with white cardstock. I then cut a piece of patterned paper from a beautiful paper pack (Bountiful) from Hot Off The Press, and attached that to the front of the card. The beautiful butterfly is a 3-D sticker from Paper Studio.
This is the inside of the card and is another sheet of patterned paper from the same paper pack. I used a die and my Big Shot to cut out the white panel to write my message to the recipient. The small green butterfly came from my stash and is a sticker.
From the scraps I covered the flap of the envelope to created a complementary set. I love decorating my envelopes to match my cards.

Bumble Bee Marci Such a Delight

I hope you are having a Happy Wednesday. Today I have created a card for this week's Card Concept challenge #11. This week they have a fun color combo for us play with, Black, Gray, Yellow and White. I also used CASology's challenge #97 for the theme of this card - Bee!

Here is my card:

I love this color combo! To keep with my CAS style I kept all of my stamping to the bottom section of my card. By doing this it still gives me lots of white space. I did however, pop Marci (Lala Land Crafts) on an Action Wobble. These are so fun! I printed Marci out on 80# Pure Luxury cardstock from Gina K. Designs and used Copics to color her. Isn't she just adorable!

Clutch Cards

I was thumbing through the most recent publication of CardMaker magazine and I loved their adorable Floral Clutch Card on page 18 and just had to make my own version of the card.

Here is what the inside of one of them looks like.

I also made coordinating envelops for each of the cards.

The decorative papers are from Hot Off The Press and coordinate so well. Love all of the patterns and colors! Each card is held closed by a magnet! Yep a magnet!

If you would like to see what one of the cards looks like click on this video.

For those of you that would love to give this a try, I am offering this kit for purchase. You will get all of the papers, pre-cut and scored, embellishments shown, envelops, magnet set for each card, and instructional video. I will also include a measurement sheet for you to use to create your own version of these adorable Clutch Cards!

You can purchase the full kit with everything stated above for $15 OR if you would prefer not to receive the embellishments nor magnet the price is $13.

If you have any question regarding this kit, please leave them in the comment section below or email me.

Easter Bunny Marci For Mojo Monday Challenge 339

Here is what I came up with for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge #339's Tall & Skinny card.
This adorable image is from La-La Land Crafts!  I love their digital images as they are so whimsical! I used both Copics (for the skin tones and hair) and my Close To My Heart Alcohol Markers to color this stinkin' cute image. All of the cardstock and patterened papers are also from Close To My Heart. I used the papers from the, you guessed it, Lollydoodle Paper Packet! Such a perfect paper packet for Easter!

I don't recall where I bought the foam flower and leaves from, but they were a perfect addition to this card. I colored the stems/leaves with my Sweet Leaf alcohol marker as it was a bit too bright for the card. I attached the center of the flower from another flower, on top of the purple flower which provides for additional dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and for leaving a comment.

Happy Birthday Ashley!

My beautiful daughter, Ashley, celebrated her 19th birthday! Man they grow up so fast. She is our baby, so this is the hardest one!

Ashley loves anything "Owl" so I made this card for her which was Inspired by Doreen Watkins - Independent Close To My Heart Consultant.

I used the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge in the Cricut Craft Room to cut the elements for this project. Here is how I laid my paper out on the cutting mat. I always prefer to layout all of the paper that I will need so that I don't have to unload and reload the mat. What do you think?
All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart as well as the Artbooking cartridge.

Here are some close ups of the Owl and Balloons, which I covered with Liquid Glass and secured with Baker's Twine. I also applied the Liquid Glass on the eyes of the owl. You can't really appreciate it in the picture, but trust me, ADORABLE!

Lastly, I usually decorate the inside of my cards as well, and this one is no exception.
So please join me in wishing Ashley a Happy Birthday!

This Birthday Card is also being submitted to The Card Concepts challenge for Birthday Cards. Great timing! My card is what I consider a Clean & Layered style.
