Whale A New Baby Card

I have several friends that are going to be Mamas again or Grandmas, so I am needing to create some cards for these special ladies. Here is one that I think you will like.

My inspiration for this card came from two related challenge blogs: My Favorite Things Sketch and My Favorite Things Color. Combining the two made creating this card a snap! I followed the sketch pretty my, however for the color challenge, I had to make substitutions.  For Blu Raspberry I used Lagoon, for Kraft I used Cashmere, for Lemon Drop I used Buttercup background paper from the Baby Cakes paper packet.

I colored in the Whale after stamping it with Memento Black ink, with a Lagoon marker and an Alcohol Blending Marker. I added some Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little bling. I used a Signo Gel pen in white to add a boarder, which really helped bring everything together. I added two brads at the top to finish the design and there you have it.

I made this quick video explaining how I put this together.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, I appreciate it.
In the meantime, Happy Paper Crafting
