Welcome Baby

Babies are a Precious Gift From Above and that is the message on this darling card. I have a dear friend that is expecting their first son soon and I made this card especially for them.
My inspiration for this card cam from two challenges. Color My Heart Color Dare #81 - Juniper, Blush, & Sorbet and Retro Sketches #102. I encourage you to head over to each of these challenges and see all of the amazing work that the design team members put into the challenges!

Here is a quick video detailing how I put this card together.

I used a standard A2 card base out of Daisy White cardstock. Using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge I cut out the image for the Welcome Baby stamp at 2-1/4" then stamped it with the Juniper ink. I attached a Bitty Sparkle to the star of this stamped image. I stamped the Rattle on a 4-1/4" X 5-1/2" piece of Juniper cardstock with Juniper ink and also on a 3-1/2" X 4" piece of Sorbet cardstock with Sorbet ink. I distressed the edges of these two pieces of cardstock. Then I wrapped a piece of Cotton Candy Baker's Twine around the Sorbet cardstock three times and secured it to the back using tape. Next I tied a little bow using the same twine.

I attached this panel to the Juniper panel at an angle and then trimmed off the overhang. I distressed the edges that I just cut.  Now I attached the sentiment piece using 3D foam tape at a slight angle as well. To the bottom of that panel I attached three Sparkles.

Next I stamped the image of the bassinet onto some Daisy White cardstock with Memento Black Ink. Then I ran it through my Brother ScanNCut using the Direct Cut feature. I posted a short video on how this works. I will be doing another one soon! Now for the coloring of the adorable bassinet.  I used six different alcohol markers (two of each of the following colors) to get this effect. Juniper, Blush, and Sorbet. I wrapped a small piece of the Cotton Candy Baker's Twine around the base of the bassinet and then I attached this piece with 3D foam tape to the Juniper panel.  Last I attached three more Sparkles to this panel.
Next I attached the completed card Face to the card base, rounded the corners, and distressed them just a little and that was it.

Here is what is included in this adorable stamp set.

  1. A new baby is such an inspiration in itself! What a great use of the stamp set. I love the way you stamped the bg with rattles! The twine is such a great touch, especially around the bassinet!
