Here is a quick video where I explain how I put this together, if you don't have time to read the entire post. But all dimensions are here.
I started out by trimming down our 8" X 10" photo to 7.5" X 9.5". I then took a 7-11/16" X 9-11/16" piece of Indian Corn Blue cardstock and mounted the picture onto that. Next I mounted this panel onto an 8" X 10" piece of from the Sarita Paper Packet. I set this panel aside for later.
Using my Cricut® Artbooking cartridge I took another piece of patterned paper from the Sarita Paper Packet and cut out a 5" X 5" scalloped square found on page 59. Using the Photo Mat 1, Real Dial, Shift, and the 's' keys, I cut this image out. I then cut it in half. I also cut out the "You+Me" from the same piece of paper. This was done by using the Title, Real Dial Size, Shift and 'a' key. I cut this image at 2-1/4". This image is found on page 58. Next I used a piece of Colonial White cardstock and repeated this same cut three times. I then glued all three together with my glue pen and added the patterned paper piece on top. I did this to create a 'chipboard' effect.
Next I cut out the rectangle heart overlay, found on page 59, using the Overlay, Real Dial Size, Shift and 's' keys. This was cut at 2-1/2" out of the same patterned paper as I used to mount the photo. I then mounted this piece onto a piece of Daisy White cardstock and trimmed it down to the size of the overlay. Then I attached the "You+Me" piece to this overlay.
The two sweetheart birds where cut at 1-1/4" from Indian Corn Blue cardstock and are also found on page 59.
Next I cut the fancy shape (don't really know what to call it) out of piece of Daisy White cardstock at 4". This shape is found on page 81. I used the Icon and "10 Things" keys. I used a stamp from the "Sweet & Lovely" Cricut bundle and stamped it in Outdoor Denim ink. I then wrote my message with a Outdoor Denim marker. To get the same fancy shape in a slightly larger size, I went online to the Cricut Craft Room and sized the shape to create a mat. Then cut it out using my Expression from Indian Corn Blue cardstock. I mounted the first piece onto the second piece with 3D Foam tape.
I cut a piece of 12" X 12" Goldrush cardstock down to 11" X 11" and then attached the two scalloped pieces to opposite corners. The larger piece on top. Next I stamped the "YOU mean the WORLD to me" stamp from the Pemberley Workshop stamp set (no longer available) onto the 12" X 12" Daisy White cardstock. I then lined the Goldrush paper up where I wanted it and figured out where I was going to stamp the second line of the stamp.
Now I was ready to assemble the page. I attached the Goldrush panel to the Daisy White paper leaving a 1/2" boarder all around. Then I attached the photo panel. I did not apply any adhesive to the area where I was going to put the Love Birds so that I could tuck one end under the photo panel. Next I attached the overlay panel with 3D foam tape only on the left side. I attached the right side with glue. Now I attached the Love Birds. I put 3D foam tape under the birds and used glue at the ends of the branch. Now I took the sentiment panel and attached that with glue keeping it centered between the overlay and the birds.
I had a little booboo when I went to remove the washi tape that I was using to hold the page in place. When I removed the washi tape from the bottom right corner it took off some of the paper. So I attached the flowers to cover that up and then decided to add the flower at the top left-hand corner to balance everything out.
Well that is it. If you have any questions or comments, I would love for you to leave them below.
Thank you so much for stopping by and in the meantime!
Happy Paper Crafting
