A Family Bloosoms With a Mother's Love

This is the first card for this year's Mother's Day series. The sentiment says it all! What would a family be without the love of the Mama that brought each of us into the world?

The sketch for this card comes from Mojo Monday's Sketch 336. I plan on doing a few different cards using this sketch. I used the Ivy Lane Paper Packet, along with my Artiste and Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges and the sentiment is from a Hostess set "A Mother's Love", all from Close to My Heart.

On the next card, I think I will change out some of the papers to create a better contrast. I do love how the flowers and leaves came out, don't you? Both are cut with the Artiste cartridge and then I scored the veins on the leaves to create a more realistic effect.

Easter Egg-citement Is Here

I am having such a fun time working on this year's Easter projects. Have you started yet?
Here is the first one that I am going to be sharing with you. An adorable Pennant card with a sweet little Chicky!

I love how easily I can create fun cards with wonderful Easter colors with this paper packet. Combined with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, you can't go wrong! For the pennant I used the Banner2 found on page 29 cut at 4-1/2" cut from B&T paper and then the Layer cut from Pear cardstock at 4-3/4".  I then also cut the Square2 found on page 33 at 2-1/4" and then cut a 2"x2" square from Daisy White cardstock. Ran it through my BigShot using the Dots embossing folder. The B&T paper that I used for the main panel of this card was cut at 4"x5-1/4". The sentiment was stamped on Shape4 found on page 56 at 3/4".

Life Is Good Wreath Card

Yes, Life IS Good! I make it a practice that before I get up each morning, to give thanks for all of the wonderful blessings in my life. I focus on the fact that Life Is Good and that is how I want it, so this card is a great reflection of how I feel and see things.

The inspiration for the card design comes from two challenges this week. Mojo Monday's #334-Tall & Skinny and Heart 2 Heart Flourishes challenge. I used the following colors on this project: Olive & New England Ivy, Colonial White, Sky, and Outdoor Denim.

I had been wanting to use both the Remarkable Wreath and the Swirls Around Flair stamp sets and this was the perfect design to use both of them. The focal element was cut with my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, which I feel really helps the wreath pop!

I stamped the swirl with Outdoor Denim pigment ink and then applied clear embossing powder to really give the color a punch and to add dimension to that panel. I also used two different embossing folders for the main panel of the card. The Quartrefoil was used on the colonial white cardstock and I used the Dots folder on the three strips of cardstock at the bottom.
